Once open, visit the ‘Action Center’ by tapping or clicking on the icon that looks like a chat bubble located on the bottom right of the screen. This will launch up the ‘Action Center.’ From here, simply tab the ‘Tablet Mode’ option to toggle ‘Tablet Mode’ on and off. It is not required to switch to ‘Tablet Mode,’ when folding the 2-in-1 PC.
You may customize the behavior in ‘Tablet Mode’ by selecting ‘Settings’ from the Windows menu and selecting ‘Tablet Mode.’
Do I need a Microsoft Account to use the Komando™ 2-in-1 Productivity Laptop and Tablet?
A Microsoft Account is not required, but it is highly recommended. When setting up your 2 in 1, you may elect to use a Microsoft Account or a Local Account. However, if you select a Local Account you will lose access to some of the features and benefits of Windows 10.
NOTE: If you use a local account and forget your password, you will need to reinstall Windows 10 to regain access. We recommend that you use a Microsoft Account instead of a Local Account.
Signing in with a Microsoft Account is required to use the Microsoft App Store. It also makes it easy to sign in and use other Microsoft Apps and services such as Outlook, Hotmail, Skype, Xbox Live and Office. Any information with these services is synced across devices when you use a Microsoft Account.
What does the 'Lock' toggle on the left side of the unit do?
The ‘Lock’ toggle disables the keyboard and the touchpad, allowing you to enter tablet mode without accidental keystrokes interrupting your experience. The ‘Lock’ toggle is located on the left side of the product when in laptop mode.
How do I disable the touchpad?
There are two ways to disable the touchpad.
If you’re going into tablet mode, use the ‘Lock’ toggle located on the left side of the unit, which will disable both the keyboard and the touchpad.
For all other situations, you may simply press the ‘Touchpad’ toggle button located on the right side of the keyboard, to the right of the ‘Ctrl’ button.
If you prefer using an external mouse instead of the touchpad, we recommend that you disable the touchpad using the second method to prevent accidental cursor movements.

I cannot connect my Komando™ 2-in-1 Productivity Laptop and Tablet to Wi-Fi or my Internet connection. How do I fix this?
There are several possible reasons why you’re having trouble connecting to the Internet. The most common reason is that your 2-in-1 is in ‘Airplane Mode.’ You may toggle airplane mode by tapping on the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom right of your screen then toggling ‘Airplane Mode.’
If you have verified that ‘Airplane Mode’ is set to off and you are still unable to connect to Wi-Fi, make sure that you have the correct password for your Wi-Fi network.
Are you able to connect to the Wi-Fi network but do not have an Internet connection? This indicates that your modem is not connecting to the Internet. You will need to contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance.
How do I restore Windows 10 to the original state?
If you are having trouble with Windows or would just like to wipe the system and start over, you can use the Windows Recovery options.
Click the Windows start icon on the bottom left of the taskbar and choose Settings. Go to Update & Security > Recovery. From here, choose Get Started under “Reset this PC”.
You will be presented with two options: "Keep my files" or "Remove everything".
Choose the desired option to proceed.
What if I can't boot into Windows 10?
If Windows will not boot, you can access the boot and recovery menu manually by pressing the escape key when turning the 2 in 1 on.
How can I extend the battery life?
To extend the battery life on any device, ensure you close apps when no longer in use and lower the screen brightness when possible. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use to further extend the battery life.
How can I reset my PIN or Password?
If you are having trouble signing into your Komando™ 2-in-1 Productivity Laptop and Tablet, you can try one of the following:
From the sign-on screen tap “Sign-in Options” below the password field.
NOTE: This option will not appear unless you have both a PIN and Password set. If you do not see this option and have forgotten your PIN, proceed directly to the reset option below.
Upon tapping “Sign-in Options”, you will have the ability to switch between signing in with your PIN or Password using the icons below.
NOTE: To sign in with a PIN you need to be connected to the Internet. A Wi-Fi icon should appear in the lower right corner. You can tap this to connect to your local network first.
If you have any additional user accounts setup, they will appear on the bottom left. You can choose any of these accounts to sign in.
How can I reset my Windows Account?
If you are still unable to sign in, you will need to use another device or computer to access the internet and reset your account. Click this link to reset your Microsoft sign-in information.
NOTE: The password on a local account cannot be reset unless you setup a recovery flash drive when you created the account (this is unlikely). This is akin to losing your password on a desktop computer. There is really no way to bypass this without special tools.
When typing in the password, you will see an eye appear on the right side of the password field. Tap this to display the password and ensure all characters are being entered properly.
Note: You will not see this "eye" icon until you have entered something in the password field.
If you are still unable to get in, you will have to reinstall Windows using the steps below.
How do I manually reinstall Windows 10?
To reinstall Windows manually, you will need a USB flash drive (not included). You will then need to create this flash drive on another PC by downloading the Windows Media Creation Tool.
Download the tool and choose the option to install the 64-bit version of Windows 10 to the USB drive.
Once the flash drive is setup, perform the following steps:
- Turn the PC completely off.
- Plug the PC in to ensure it does not run out of battery power during this process.
- Connect the PC to the keyboard case.
- Plug the USB drive you setup into the PC.
- Turn the PC on by holding the power button down approximately 5 seconds and then releasing.
- As soon as the PC turns on, start pressing the ESC key on the keyboard repeatedly until the boot menu appears.
NOTE: The screen will be rotated to the side (landscape view). You will need to navigate using the touchpad on the keyboard and the direction will be opposite what it normally would be due to the rotation.
Move the mouse cursor to the option for Boot Manager and click.
Use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to select the USB drive from the boot menu and then hit enter.
The 2 in 1 will reboot and run the install from the USB Flash Drive.
Follow the onscreen prompts to reinstall Windows on the device.
This may take a while and the 2 in 1 may reboot or appear to restart the process several times before complete.
Once you are back up and running, we recommend using a Microsoft Account instead of a Local Account. If the password for a Microsoft Account is lost, it can easily be reset online using another computer without having to reinstall Windows.
