Komando Shop FAQ

This is my first time on Komando Shop, how do I use it?

For your convenience, we use a virtual "shopping cart" to help you order items online. This virtual shopping cart works much like a real shopping cart - it collects items you want to purchase until checkout time!

Simply browse the shop, and when you see a photo of an item you'd like to learn more about, just click on it and it will take you to the product description page. If you choose to buy the item, simply type in the quantity (Qty), then, if applicable, select the color and /or size. You can also change the quantity you would like to purchase by clicking on the up and down arrows in the quantity box; up for more, down for fewer.

Then click the "Add to Cart" button and the item is added to your cart. After you have finished browsing and adding each item you would like to purchase to your shopping cart, click the little shopping cart icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and click the yellow "Checkout" button.

You will be taken to a screen that displays the items you intend to order, as well as a subtotal. At any time during the ordering process, you may edit a product in your cart -- including changing the quantity, size and/or color. You can even remove an item by clicking the X.

You can also add an item to your Wishlist and it will be saved until you're ready to order it! The Wishlist is a handy tool to use when you see something you'd like to buy someone as a present in the future.

You can make purchases in Komando Shop quicker in the future by registering for an account during checkout -- it's fast and you'll only have to do this once. This will allow you to keep track of purchases and access tracking information for your orders.

For the security of your payment data, we NEVER store your credit card information (you'll always have to re-enter it). You will create a password to enter the next time you visit Komando Shop, so be sure to write it down!

You will have an opportunity to send your order to a different address from your profile at checkout--ideal for gift giving!

You may use your Paypal account, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit or debit cards. You will need the security code from the card to complete the purchase. A receipt will be sent to the email address you provide when your purchase is complete. You will also be sent a notice via email when your order ships.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Komando Shop accepts Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit or debit cards as payment. For your online shopping security, we never store your credit card information. You will always be prompted to re-enter your payment information when making a purchase at Komando Shop.

How do I ship an order to an alternate address?

When checking out, you will be prompted to enter your shipping address first. You can put any address within the United States or Canada. There is a checkbox at the bottom of the address for that is pre-checked to use this as your billing address. Un-check this box and you will be prompted to enter your billing address automatically. If you do not un-check this box, don't worry, you can click on "Billing" anytime to change your billing address. 

How can I track an order?

Just login to Komando Shop at shop.komando.com. You will be automatically taken to your order history. Click the Order Number to view the order. You will be able to view your tracking information under the Shipping Details Section on the right, you may need to scroll down to view this. Click the tracking number to be taken to the couriers website to track your order. You also should have received an email with the tracking information. Click the tracking number in the email to be taken to the couriers website to track your order. Please allow 1-7 days for delivery in the USA and 7 - 24 days for delivery to Canada. 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Please allow up to two business days for order processing, plus 1-7 days for delivery in the USA and 7 - 24 days for delivery to Canada. 

The shipping time for your order will depend on the shipping option you select. 

Can I alter or cancel an order?

Our goal is to pack and ship your order as quickly as possible; therefore, we ask that you please contact us as soon as possible if you discover a need to alter your purchase at 1-800-KOMANDO. Please keep in mind that although we have a maximum order processing time window of two days, most order ship the day the order was placed if it is placed before 2pm on a business day. 

If an order revision request is made after hours and prior to shipping, the requested change will be made on the next business day if possible.

To change or cancel an order you must call 1-800-KOMANDO (1-800-566-2636), Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. MST. Outside of regular business hours, please leave a voice mail message and include your full name, order number and the changes you would like to make. Shipping address may be altered after shipment depending on the selected courier, all fees associated with rerouting a shipment will be the responsibility of the customer. 

I'm having trouble logging in to Komando Shop. What can I do?

Registering in Komando Shop is needed in order to log in. If you are a new customer or have only made purchases as a guest previously, you have not yet secured a profile for log in. (Please note: Komando email newsletter subscribers are not automatically registered.)

If you have registered in Komando Shop when placing an order before and are still having trouble logging in, please be sure you have double-checked your records. You may be using a different email address or password than the one you previously provided. If that's not the case, you can click the "Forgot your password?" link to request a password reset.

My credit or debit card payment was declined. Why?

Incomplete purchases due to failed transactions can occur for a number of reasons. Please make sure the billing address on file matches your credit card payment address on file with the issuing credit card company or bank.

Please also take care to ensure that the card number, expiration date and credit card verification number you have submitted was correctly typed into the system. Any discrepancy may result in an unsuccessful transaction.

If your payment was declined, please contact the issuing credit card company or bank. Declined transactions are generally at the discretion of the issuing credit card company or bank. We do not have the ability to approve or deny those transactions.

Is my credit card information safe?

Your shopping experience at Shop.Komando.com is on a secure server for privacy and security. If registered in Komando Shop, we remember your billing and shipping information so that you never have to re-key it--but we NEVER store your credit card information (you'll always have to re-enter it). You will create a password to enter on future visits, so be sure to make note of it!

I have a coupon code from one of Komando Insider Newsletters. How do I use it to get a discount?

If you receive a Newsletter advertisement for Komando Shop, we generally require you to enter a promotion code on the "Shopping Cart" page to receive the discount. The bottom of the advertisement should also provide you with specific directions on how to receive the discount. Discounts can only be honored for purchases made on the date of the advertised sale and on the advertised items.

Please be sure to enter the promotion code in the "Coupon Code" section at the bottom portion of the Shopping Cart page. You will need to click "Apply" before proceeding to checkout.

The discount will then be reflected in the subtotal.

How do I get coupon codes for Komando Shop?

Komando Shop offers various promotions regularly. If you are a Kim Komando/Komando.com email newsletter subscriber, you will receive notices regarding Komando Shop promotions. If you are not currently signed-up to receive our newsletters, scroll down to the bottom of the website and enter your email address under "Sign Up For Our Newsletter".

Staying subscribed to the newsletters will ensure that you are informed of sales and other promotions.

How do I return a product?

What is the "Wish List" feature?

You can add an item to your "Wishlist" List and it will be saved until you're ready to order it! The Wishlist is a handy tool to use when you see something you'd like to buy but need to wait.
